This is obviously made for boiled eggs. But if you want no eggshells in your cracked raw eggs it's simple - just stop cracking them over sharp stuff. Bowl edges, pans, knives, forks - don't do it. Just crack your eggs on a flat table. Problem solved, no more loose eggshells.
